Brett Ardiel

Background and Experience.

The Journey

After graduating from The Recording Arts Foundation Program and then the Recording Arts Masters Program at the Center for Arts and Technology in Fredericton, NB, Brett went on to do music recording/mixing and some live sound at Mission Studios in Sudbury, ON in 2006.

After moving to Edmonton, AB, Brett got into full-time audio post-production in 2008 at Blackman Productions. For the next 5 years Brett was able to hone his skills and gain a plethora of post audio experience by independently sound designing and mixing countless promos, ads, and more - as well as recording hundreds of voiceovers, and having important roles on larger film and documentary projects.

In 2014, Brett moved to the Washington, DC area and found a home on the Defacto Sound team, where he garnered even more audio experience and exposure to great projects.

In June 2015, Brett's journey took him to the greater Houston area where he has set up shop and begun freelancing full-time. In November of 2016 Brett relocated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and then relocated again in November 2018 to Sarnia, Ontario, Canada where he is currently freelancing from his private 5.1 Studio.

Brett Ardiel has had his hand in many award-nominated and award-winning films and television programs. His work has been heard in film festivals, BluRays/DVDs, and web browsers around the world; as well as on top-rated networks/channels in the U.S. and Canada, such as: Discovery, National Geographic, AHC, TLC, PBS, Destination America, Velocity, Science, NBC Sports, CBC, CTV, OMNI, Super Channel, and APTN.
